HUD Distributes Grants to Improve 65 Public Housing Agencies

The funding supports the installation, repair, or replacement of essential safety systems.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) recently distributed $10 million in grant funding to 65 public housing agencies, allowing housing authorities in 32 states to repair and upgrade essential safety systems. Eligible repairs include upgrading security and alarm systems, fencing, doors, and carbon monoxide detectors.

“Every resident deserves to feel safe in their home,” said Acting Secretary Adrianne Todman. “The Capital Fund Emergency Safety and Security Program provides critical resources to enhance the protection of residents, safeguard public spaces, and respond swiftly when they need help. These resources will help create a safer, more secure environment for everyone.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Acting Secretary Todman to turn to the Lord for direction as she oversees HUD.
  • For department officials to be prudent as they allot funding for safety system upgrades.
